Expansion of the “Porta 65 Jovem” Program

The Porta 65 program consists of support for young rent through which candidates, if approved, are entitled to receive a percentage of the rent for 12 months.

This new Government measure will come into force on September 1st and is expected to help 40 thousand young people within the scope of this program and facilitate their access. The changes to this support are:

Elimination of the maximum income allowed as a factor for excluding candidates;

Reduction in the number of months of payslips to be presented as an alternative to the Income Tax declaration from 6 to 3 months;

Reversing the application process: young people can apply for support first and, after receiving a response, look for housing on the market;

Monthly application system, with the candidate’s income and household as decisive factors, guaranteeing priority support to those who need it most.
